Lieutenant Layne’s Service to the Commonwealth of Virginia
Lt. Layne retired from the Virginia Division of Capitol Police on January 1, 2019, after 33 years of service.
Lt. Layne was the “Incident Commander In-Charge” at a rally held at the State Capitol.
As a member of the FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), James believes in integrity and professionalism and that’s what he’ll bring to the Sheriff’s Office.
